The risk in choosing to start something new is never that the project will fail; the risk is in never starting in the first place. The only method with a 100% failure rate is not trying. ——— Zach Hamilton

To all partners in the Arweave ecosystem, the past month in the Web3 world can be described as "crazy". First, the most popular topic - whether the inscription of BRC20 will disappear along with the 'fix' of a 'loophole' in the BTC network has become the "Sword of Damocles" in the entire market. Next, at the macro regulatory level, whether the BlackRock Bitcoin Spot ETF would be approved by the SEC (U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission) became the focus of widespread attention. Additionally, emotions are mixed; half are experiencing FOMO, while the other half are waiting for the pullback of the Christmas market.

However, projects within the Arweave ecosystem are still diligently at work, with the top projects continuously delivering new achievements. For instance, the cross-chain token payment protocol based on the Arweave storage consensus paradigm - "everPay", has recently released a series of updates aimed at enhancing user experience and exploring more product possibilities. The star project "Sarcophagus" has just officially announced its launch on the Ethereum layer 2 network, Arbitrum mainnet. Of course, there are numerous other examples which further illustrate that the developers in the entire Arweave ecosystem are a group of genuine geeks, unaffected by the so-called 'crypto circle' sentiments.

So why do we want to do this series of interviews? Because the entire blockchain world feels so "magical" , and many people view practitioners with “pride and prejudice”. The author also wants to take this opportunity, in such a bear market, to conduct in-depth interviews with the practitioners from Arweave ecosystem projects. Sharing their perspectives and experiences might provide some reference cases and templates for those considering going all-in on Web3 during the bear market.

At the same time, we hope to introduce to the ecosystem partners PermaDAO's collaboration model, the financial protocol everPay, and future everVision related products. Initially, most contributors to PermaDAO were predominantly Chinese-speaking. As the interviews continue, more and more The more project parties are joining PermaDAO, trying to understand our tools in depth. Ultimately, we aim to promote these DAO-applicable tools throughout the entire Arweave ecosystem, and even the whole Web3.

Back to the main topic, our guest today is Zach Hamilton, the founder of Sarcophagus.
